PERFORMANCE FOR PHOTOGRAPHY, 2009
This work presents a politically incorrect and insulting composition. It reflects on the seriality implied in live stock exploitation. From an ethical perspective, these images might be revolting. Nonetheless, it comprises a reminder of how most of us abide by industrial food production and corporate farms without much thinking. When performing this piece I symbolically embodied both the distracted consumer and the chicken itself.
This action was performed for photography and video and appears on the documentary The Performance Artist, filmed by Flemming Fynsk and Lotta Petronella.
